Why is my subtitle vote so important?
BSPlayer tries to deliver the best possible subtitles for you. Based primarily on BSPlayer users' votes, we can sort good subtitles from bad ones. So, every time you add a vote, you help BSPlayer community get better subtitles and in return – you get better subtitles!

Why should I allow BSPlayer uploading subtitles to subtitle providers?
Online subtitles feature in BSPlayer allows you to get good subtitles without having to search for them on the subtitles web sites. But in order to get subtitles, someone has to upload them before that. So the more of BSPlayer’s users will choose to upload subtitles with BSPlayer, the more subtitles there will be available to the entire BSPlayer community. Even more, you can select to which subtitle providers you want upload subs to in Preferences.

What data is sent when I upload a subtitle?
Subtitles can be uploaded manually or automatically after 80% of the movie has been played (this will happen only if you have the option’ Automatically upload subtitles’ enabled in Preferences). The data which is sent in both cases is: subtitle, subtitle hash and filename, movie hash and file name, FPS, and movie IMDB # if known. We need this data to positively identify and correlate movie played with the subtitle used, thus enabling BSPlayer users to receive exactly the right subtitles for their movies. No other data is transmitted.

Why should I fill in the data about movie name, IMDB #... ?
In some cases, when a new release of a movie is played in BSPlayer, subtitle providers will not have it in their databases. This is why it’s important to fill in this data, such as movie name and go to IMDB to find correct IMDB # in order to allow other BSPlayer users to start receiving subtitles for this movie.

Where on IMDB website can I find IMDB# ?
After you click on “Find on imdb.com” link in Rate subtitle, you will be redirected to imdb website, where you can search for appropriate movie (for example Rambo). In search results you click on the right movie (for our example First Blood (1982)). You will be sent to this page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083944/. IMDB# in this case is everything to the right of tittle/ (ie. 0083944 or tt0083944). This is the correct string you should enter in BSPlayer.
